Glimmer produces massed displays of creamy white blossoms shown off by dark almost black calyx and green foliage throughout the warm months. An aromatic evergreen compact shrub, so easy to grow, very long bloom period, and very tolerant of dry hot conditions. The Heatwave Salvia’s are a cross of microphylla x greggii, eliminating the variable range of habits and lack of garden hardiness associated with so many of the straight Salvia greggii forms in the market. The plants are very tight habit in appearance.
