Lavandula With Love uspp22709

Posted in Perennials, Plant Portfolio

With Love a stoechas lavender, has the most similar to cotton candy pink color, it boasts a a prolific and longer flowering season than others, blooms earlier, and repeat flowers if sheared. The flower ‘ribbons’ are very long above a small inflorescence body and are held tightly just above the foliage. With Love  loves the heat! grows nicely in a mounding compact habit, offering disease resistance.

With Love can be displayed many ways, container, single planting or large grouping, but in a sunny location. Growers can time for flowering out of the normal season window for say a Mothers Day offering, exceptional because this variety can be kept on display indoors for up to two weeks before planting in a more permanent position.

Inventor: Howard Bentley and Steve Eggelton of Australia

Colour: Cotton candy pink

Blooming Season: Spring through summer

Zone: 6-10

Mature Size: H 50cm x W 50cm

Care: Plant in full sun in loose, free draining soil. Drought tolerant but needs water occasionally.  For the home garden, application of a well-balanced compost or slow released general purpose fertilizer and a small amount of lime will benefit the plants before the new growth in spring. Prune lightly after flowering to encourage bushiness and new flower growth for the next season. Heavier pruning in mid-autumn prolongs the life of the plant

Grower: Takao Nursery, California
